Suitable Surfaces

Cabinets, furniture, doors, moulding, trims, pergolas, decking, fencing — interior and exterior woodwork.

Coverage & Application

• Coverage: approx. 4–12m² per litre (depending on timber porosity)
• Dry time: 2–3 hours
• Apply with cloth, brush, roller, or foam applicator
• Clean up with water when wet
• Thinning not required
• Low sheen finish

Pro Tips for Upcycling

Apply Forge Brown as a base coat on pallet timber or raw wood, let dry, then dry-brush Newton's Chalk Paint lightly over the top. Sand back edges for a beautifully worn, country look. Experiment on a scrap piece first — the possibilities are endless!

Important: Any previous varnishes or finishes must be sanded off before application to allow the stain to absorb fully into the timber.
